My local comm had an absolutely wonderful Harry Potter-themed meetup in Lancaster, PA. I dressed in my favorite house, Ravenclaw, with a schoolgirl/preppy vibe. Luckily it was still cool enough to wear my scarf. If you know me personally, you would know that I am constantly sorted into Gryffindor on Pottermore (although the last site revamp gave me Hufflepuff???) and every other sorting house quiz that has existed since the dawn of the internet. I debated on wearing a Gryffindor coord, but my only gold/red dress is velvet and the weather has been picking up to be warm lately. So I settled on Ravenclaw, the best house. :)
We had dinner at Gypsy Kitchen, a local restaurant that has the most cozy and relaxing atmosphere ever. My pictures don't do it justice, but look at that architecture and lights and decor. Not pictured are stained glass windows, leather chairs, fireplaces, and a beautiful ambiance. Our group sat in the center of the restaurant along a long dinner table, so it felt like we were dining in the great hall of Hogwarts itself (minus floating candles).
I had the braised grass fed beef entree and it was delicious. A lot of their ingredients are local and fresh. I can't wait to come back here in the future and wear classic or gothic.
